My Scrapbook

The wardrobes and area above them are now done, and the things (basically just soft toys) that need to be sorted are stored in pretty boxes. Plus my ornaments have somewhere to go now.

I managed to get the whole of the side wall, which had patches of various coloured paint on it, undercoated to even it out… but all that white space was freaking me out, so I had to hang a couple of pictures to break it up. I haven’t had off-white walls for more than 10 years… D:

The wall still needs serious repair before I do the painting proper. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks, it’ll get done.

Inspired.

To get back to this project! yes, the room is nice, and it’s definitely liveable, but it needs to be finished off!

Colour selection - either Champion/Petite Purple:

Or Champion/Immortal:

Or possibly Champion/Lavender Earl:

Of course, they’ll look different in real life to on screen, but they go well together, all being from the same hue set. It really just depends on how dark I decide I want the majority of the room to be.

Bedroom - almost done! Wall repair and painting, picture hanging, and decorating to be done, but that seems like nothing after all the work of cleaning the place out!

Library - getting there!

There are still many books to be shelved, so at some point a better shelving system will be needed. Also, my art studio part of the room no longer fits. Well, poop. But I’m quite happy to have most of my books in the one place! :)

The chosen ones. ;)

ACK!

I got the room organised to a liveable level, and then put it on the backburner! NO, this wasn’t the plan!! I’m supposed to be fixing it up all gorgeous for myself because I deserve a lovely room to suit my lovely personality!!

Walls need repair so I can move on to painting. I was going to paint and not worry too much about fixing the screw holes and things in the walls, but I realised I really do want to make a proper job of it instead of half-arsing it.

Next trip to town, I *need* to go to Bunnings and get plaster filler and sand paper.

I also need to go through the cupboards and figure out just what painting tools I currently have, and what sort of condition they’re in.

I need to paint before I can move the rest of the furniture in.

I need to move the rest of the furniture in before I can organise my clothes and the things I’m keeping after The Big Sort.

I need to move the donation stuff out from under the bed and *maybe* into the lounge room so I can sort it out for the market. And I need to do that before I paint, so I can move the bed around easily.

MUST KEEP ON THIS PROJECTTTT!!!!!

*slaps self upside head*

(I also need to get on with setting up the Library properly. Yish.)

Note to self: Timber.

Pelmet:

2cm x 12cm - 120 x 2; 14 x 2 (= 268cm)

Bookshelf:

2cm x 12cm - 207 x 2; 56 x 9 (= 918cm)

Total = 1186cm

Progress!! It’s felt like a hell of a long time while I’ve been working on it, but I’m actually quite pleased with how far I’ve come in a short time.
